Realtors! Make Better Cold Calls!

By: Jerika P –  i-Lead Realty Social Media Manager

Having a hard time cold-calling clients? Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to ace your cold-calling game!

1. Build your call list

You might not know who to call, so gather the people you will reach first by adding a signup button to your website, browsing real estate listings, or even asking your network.

2. Practice your introduction

Create a brief elevator pitch that introduces you, your company, and the services you provide.

3. Prepare a list of questions

Prepare questions to ask prospective clients before calling them to keep them engaged in the call and interested in your company.

4. Roleplay different scenarios

Consider how callers will respond and how you will respond to their objections. To practice your script, try practicing with a friend or family member.

5. Call at the right time

Set your calling time during the night because people are usually at home and may answer your call.

6. Provide options

Limit objections by giving clients a variety of options. For example, ask if they can meet in person or if they prefer to be contacted via email.

7. Let the conversation flow

Allow the natural conversation to flow by listening and building rapport with the caller rather than cutting the caller just to prove your point or give out information about real estate or your company.

8. Stay motivated

Callers may hang up on you or refuse to listen to your pitch, but stay positive and never lose hope. Always consider new numbers as opportunities.
