First, what is an Open House?
It is an event where visitors—potential buyers—come and tour the home you are trying to sell. Most buyers enjoy going to open houses to see the property personally. Real estate agents host these events to attract clients.
Here are the things you must consider before hosting an open house.
1. Choosing The Ideal Day
Open houses are often held on weekends when most people are available. If you’re having the event in the summer, you might also want to consider the holidays.
2. The Time of Day Is Vital
The best time to hold an open house event is in the early morning, between 11 AM and 3 PM, or in the early evening, between 5 PM and 7 PM. Since they just got off work or finished their errands, most people tend to have free time around those times.
3. Choosing the Right Season
The spring and summer months are frequently productive times for the real estate industry. If you’re selling in the spring, you may hold the event in May or June; if you’re selling in the summer, July or August is the best time to do it. There is, however, always an exception to every rule. If selling in a hot market, you must do so much sooner than usual to take advantage of the opportunities on demand, and when selling in a slow market, you must wait until there is a demand.
4. Properly Advertise your Open House
Placing flyers throughout the neighborhood, uploading images and videos to social media, or listing it in the local paper or online are the most significant ways to market. It is better to reach as many people as possible.
We hope these things help you when setting up an open house that results in multiple interested buyers. If you are interested in joining a team, check us out at ileadlegends.com
