The process of selling your house is quite stressful and challenging. When your house doesn’t sell as quickly as you expected it to and you’re not sure why, it’s easy to become discouraged. Here are several reasons why your house isn’t selling.
1. Listing photos are not professional looking
You can be too eager to showcase your home after doing all the curb appeal and staging. However, if your listing photos are of poor quality, your home might not be seen. You might wish to hire specialists if it’s possible and you have the money to do so. Employ specialists who provide services with expert photography, videography, drone footage, and even a 3D tour!
2. Listing description is too dry
While you should be as honest as possible in your listing description, you don’t have to get right to the point. A compelling description must be included in addition to the facts so that potential buyers can picture themselves living in your home. Showcase the home’s features through descriptive terms that helps the buyer gain a better understanding of the home.
3. You need to revamp your marketing
If all you’re doing is handing out print ads and putting up signs, you might not be able to attract the right audience. Buyers are more likely to find their houses online and send them to their agents now than they were before the pandemic began. The best action to take is to be active on social media and other websites so buyers from all over can find your home.
4. Getting bad advice from your agent
If you work with an experienced local agent, all of the problems on the list can be avoided. However, you must also be certain that the agent you choose will offer you sound advice on price, staging, and curb appeal.
